Ludwig Hollmann

Ludwig Hollmann (born December 18, 1873 in Holtkamp ; † after 1932) was a German teacher and politician ( DVP ).

Life

After graduating from primary school, Hollmann continued his education through seminars, self-studies and lectures at the commercial academy. From 1887 to 1890 he attended the preparatory institute in Schildesche and then completed the teachers' seminar in Hilchenbach , which he completed in 1893 with the first teacher examination. In 1895 he passed the second teacher examination, in 1898 the secondary school teacher examination for the subjects of German and history and in 1899 the rector examination. He also attended lectures at the Academy for Social and Commercial Sciences in Frankfurt am Main for several semesters .

Hollmann began teaching in 1893 at the Wilhelmsplatz community school in Herford . From here he switched to the boys 'middle school in Stendal in 1899 , but only stayed there for a year and then worked at the boys' middle school in Hanau until 1905 , where he also worked as a part-time teacher at the city's commercial training school. From 1905 to 1912 he was principal at a primary school in Bochum . Here, too, he worked part-time as a teacher, namely at the municipal preparation institute and at the commercial school of the Bochum Chamber of Commerce . From 1912 to 1922 he was the rector of the 9th community school in Berlin-Lichtenberg .

In 1922 he joined the Prussian Ministry of Science, Art and Education as a school councilor and unskilled worker . In 1924 he was promoted to the Upper Government Council.

Hollmann joined the German People's Party (DVP) during the Weimar Republic and was elected chairman of the school committee. From 1919 to 1921 he was a member of the Prussian state constituent assembly and from 1921 to 1932 a member of the Prussian state parliament . In parliament he represented constituency 4 (Potsdam I).
