Ludwig Knobloch

Ludwig Knobloch (born July 23, 1901 in Ilbesheim (Donnersbergkreis) ; † November 22, 1995 there ) was a German politician ( CDU ) and a leading functionary of the German sugar beet farmers.

Life and work

After attending elementary school and agricultural school in Kirchheimbolanden , Knobloch, who was Protestant , switched to the district arable farming school in Kaiserslautern . In 1921 he took over his parents' farm. In 1928 Knobloch took over the chairmanship of the Palatinate Jungland Federation and of the Association of Former Agricultural Students . From 1928 to 1979 he was on the municipal council of Ilbesheim, and from 1956 to 1974 in the district council and district committee. After the Second World War he became President of the Association of Rhineland-Palatinate Sugar Beet Growers and was also a member of the board of the Association of South German Sugar Beet Growers. He was also a member of the Chamber of Agriculture and the expert committee of the Oberfinanzdirektion Koblenz , the brewing barley department of Rhineland-Palatinate and the district board of farmers and winegrowers in the Palatinate. He later became President of the Working Group of German Sugar Beet Growing Associations.

MP

Knobloch belonged to the German Bundestag from 1953 to 1965 and again from July 24, 1967, when he replaced the resigned MP Bernhard Vogel , until 1969. He represented the constituency of Neustadt an der Weinstrasse in parliament.
