Ludwig Linden

Ludwig Linden is a German diplomat . He was last ambassador to Benin from 2008 to 2011 .

Life

After graduating from high school , he studied economics at the Free University of Berlin and the University of Geneva as well as in London . He then worked for the United Nations development aid program from 1975 to 1977 .

In 1977 he entered the diplomatic service and after completing his preparatory service in 1979 found employment at the embassies in Iraq , Colombia , Argentina and the United Kingdom . In addition, he worked at the Consulate General in New York City and at the headquarters of the Foreign Office in Bonn and Berlin .

From 2008 to 2011 Linden was the successor to Albrecht Conze as Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Benin . He was replaced by Hans Jörg Neumann , who previously worked as an inspector in the Foreign Office in Berlin.
