Ludwig von Wylich and Lottum (* 1683 ; † June 11, 1729 ) was a royal Prussian major general and Landdrost in Kleve .

Ludwig came from the old Clevean noble family of Wylich and Lottum and was the son of Field Marshal Philipp Karl von Wylich and Lottum and his first wife Maria Dorothea von Schwerin (1662–1695). His brother Johann Christoph von Wylich and Lottum also became Prussian general.

He fought in his father's regiment in Holland. On June 10, 1708 he became lieutenant colonel and on June 17, 1714 colonel. In 1717 he got the cuirassier regiment No. 7 . On June 16, 1721, he was appointed major general.

family

He was married to Anna Francelina (Franzelline) Louise von Wylich from the House of Kervendonk . She was the widow of Johann Paul von Fuchs (1676–1712), who was a royal Prussian court and legation councilor, and later an appellate councilor in Ravensburg . The couple had no children. The wedding wasn't voluntary either. King Friedrich Wilhelm I ordered them to cover the general's gambling debts with the inheritance. In order to enforce the marriage, two companies of soldiers were sent to the fox farms in the Königsberg district - the widow's residence. The daughter from his first marriage Anna Louise Sophie von Fuchs (1703–1773) finally inherited the land and made it into the Kunkellehen Fuchshöfen .
