Lugental (near Ladings)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lugental (also: Lugenthal , Lobental ) is a remote place in what is now the municipality of Lichtenau in the Waldviertel or Albrechtsberg an der Große Krems in the Waldviertel in Lower Austria . The location is likely to date to the High Middle Ages and is probably in the 17th / 18th centuries. Abandoned in the 19th century.

geography

Lugental was on the large Krems , about 23 kilometers northwest of Krems an der Donau , in the Krems gorge valley, near Ladings west of Scheutz and near Eppenberg ( Albrechtsberg cadastral community ).

The place comprised around 5 houses, including the Breinmühle , the Jaidhof , and the Hörndl farmer.

history

The place appears in a document as Lv o gental . The abbot Wezelo von Stift Göttweig sued an Ulrich Trumil for refusing to pay interest on some of the leased property of the monastery, and Duke Leopold VI. confirmed the verdict. This document was dated to around 1216. In the Urbar of Göttweig it is 1302 as " de molendino in Lugental aput Ledings " (from the mill in Lugental at Ladings') was found. At that time it belonged to the Officium in Rauna et Chotans ( Rentamt Ranna and Kottes ). For 1590 there are 5 houses there. In 1619, during the Thirty Years' War , the emperor's soldiers, especially Walloons and Cossacks, plundered the area. In 1664, Lugental is mentioned again, Abbot Gregor II. Heller exchanged it for Adam Maximilian Count von Trautmannsdorf , Herr zu Prunn and Lichtenau , for other tithes in the area.

The Administrative Map of the 1870s resulted in Vallunga west Scheutz nurmehr a Ried Oedfeld , there is probably the place to suggest.
