The Luigi Pellarini Hut ( Italian Rifugio Luigi Pellarini ) is located in the Jof Fuart Group (Wischberge) of the Julian Alps at 1499  m slm altitude, in the municipality of Tarvisio . The small hut on the north side of the 2666  m high Jof Fuart is managed from mid-June to mid-September.

history

The Luigi Pellarini Hut was built in 1924 by the Trieste Section of the CAI and named after a member Luigi Pellarini who died in the First World War. It was an immediate success, which is why it was enlarged by a stem in 1930. In 1931 a hotel service was opened on a trial basis, which was appreciated by alpinists. After further modernization, the new version of the refuge, designed by the President of the Alpine Group, Carlo Chersi, was opened in 1959. The 1976 Friuli earthquake caused great damage and eventually led to the temporary closure of the refuge. In 1988 the plan for today's hut was submitted and implemented in accordance with today's rules and guest wishes. It has been in operation again since the second half of the 1990s.
