history

Wischberghütte around 1894

In 1880 the previous building of today's hut, the Wischberghütte , was built. In 1902 a new building was built as a Findegghaus ; The namesake was Hermann Findeegg . This shelter gradually fell into disrepair and was completely destroyed during the First World War in 1915. The Corsihütte was built in its place in 1925 and named after Guido Corsi, a member of the CAI section Trieste who fell in the World War . At the beginning of the 30s the building underwent several renovations (entrance door, roof, shutters, interiors, etc.). The refuge held up well for over forty years. In 1966 it was expanded and modernized.
