Luigi Borgato
Luigi Borgato (born February 21, 1963 in Gallarate ) is an Italian piano maker and manufacturer of concert grand pianos .
Life
Borgato presented its first concert grand piano in 1991, at the age of 28, at the European Congress “Europiano”. The grand pianos he built have four-course stringing in the treble (the upper 44 notes) instead of the usual three-course string. Several patents for piano making technology are registered in his name. a. via a newly designed sprue.
Borgato has been invited to speak at various Italian and international courses on piano building and technology. As a piano tuner, he works on recordings by well-known pianists, including a. by Radu Lupu , András Schiff , Vladimir Ashkenazy , Rosalyn Tureck , Lazar Berman and Maria João Pires . Borgato now lives in Lonigo .
The Doppio Borgato
In 2000, Borgato applied for a patent for a pedal piano , which he called Doppio Borgato ("Double Borgato"). It consists of two independent parts, a normal concert grand piano and a pure pedal part underneath it with 37 pedal keys (tone range subcontra-A to a 0 ). Several contemporary composers have already submitted works for this grand piano. a. Ennio Morricone ( Quarto Studio Bis , 2011), Andrea Morricone ( Omaggio a JSB , 2011), Franco Oppo ( Freu dich sehr o Meine Seele , 2000), Charlemagne Palestine ( Compositions for pedal piano , 2005) and Jean Guillou ( Epitases , 2001 ).
