Career

Luis Reichl, who was trained by his father Alois Reichl at the Triesenberg toboggan club , took part in international junior championships from 1995, where he mostly achieved placements in the lower midfield. His best results were two 18th places at the 1999 Junior World Championship in Hüttau and the 2000 European Junior Championship in Hüttau. In the World Cup , Reichl drove his first races in the 1996/1997 season . With a total of 18 World Cup points, he achieved 34th place overall in his first World Cup season. At the beginning of next winter he achieved a top 20 result for the first time with 16th place in Sölden . In the 1998/1999 season he managed to finish among the fastest 20 in all six World Cup races with placings between 17th and 19th place, making him 15th in the overall World Cup. He achieved such results in the second half of the 1999/2000 season , but due to somewhat poorer performance in the first half of the season, he fell back to 20th place overall in his last World Cup season.

Reichl took part in world championships twice: In 1998 he finished 31st in Rautavaara only one place in the bottom field, but in 2000 he reached the relatively good 26th place in Olang in a large field of 63 participants. After the 1999/2000 season he ended his career.
