Luise Friederike von Anhalt-Dessau (born March 1, 1798 in Dessau , † June 11, 1858 in Homburg in front of the height ) was a member of the House of Askanien and a born princess of Anhalt-Dessau . Through her marriage to Landgrave Gustav von Hessen-Homburg , Luise was Landgravine of Hessen-Homburg from 1846 to 1848 .

Princess Luise was born on March 1st, 1798 in Dessau as the fifth child and second daughter of Hereditary Prince Friedrich von Anhalt-Dessau and his wife Amalie von Hessen-Homburg . Princess Luise was deaf from birth .

On February 12, 1818, Luise married her uncle Gustav, Prince of Hesse-Homburg, in Dessau. Gustav was the brother of Luise's mother. Gustav and Luise had three children:

Their favorite family stay was the so-called “Accatium”, as they called today's Gustavsgarten . Luise grew up in Dessau with the Wörlitzer Park , and the couple created a little paradise in which a Doric temple had served as a tea room since 1830 .

Landgrave Gustav died on September 8, 1848 in Homburg. Landgravine Luise survived her husband by nine years and died on June 11, 1858 in Homburg. She is buried next to her husband in the crypt in the Bad Homburg Landgrave Castle.
