The Luisenhöhe is a mountain in Haag am Hausruck in Upper Austria . With a height of 709  m above sea level. A. it is Haag am Hausruck's local mountain .

The Luisenhöhe is located on the foothills of the Hausruck and rises in the municipality of Haag am Hausruck in the Grieskirchen district . The Pram rises on the western slope of the Luisenhöhe .

Tourist development

The Luisenhöhe is a popular hiking and excursion destination. Several hiking trails lead from Haag up the mountain. There is also a mountain railway, a summer toboggan run , a forest high ropes course, a nature adventure park, a lookout tower and the Waldschenke inn.

In 1964 a chair lift was built on the Luisenhöhe, which was dismantled in 2012. In its place, the so-called Erlebnisbergbahn , a Wie-Li type cable car , opened in 2015 . It is a train with 6-seater closed cabins, which are pulled upwards by a rope and automatically brake downwards.

Summer toboggan run

The 750 meter long summer toboggan run was renovated in 2015. It leads from the mountain station of the cable car to the valley station. It has one and two-seater toboggans.

Luisenhöhe observation tower

The observation tower, built in 2005 and located on Hausruckkamm, is 32 meters high and is a wooden construction. From there, the panoramic view extends over the Inn and Hausruck districts, the Bohemian Forest and on clear days to the Ötscher , Dachstein massif and Untersberg .
