The Villa Luisenstraße 28 in Horsthausen , a district of Herne , is under monument protection standing monument . The villa located on the south side about halfway up Luisenstrasse was built in 1901 on behalf of the “Friedrich der Große Union” as a director's villa for the Friedrich der Große colliery . The designing architect is not known. It shows style elements of the recently built Villa Bochumer Straße 50 by the architects Rasmusson & Luschmann.

description

The villa plot is around 2460 m² with an average depth of 72 meters and a mean width of around 34 meters. The villa covers around 353 ² in area. A garage has recently been added to her left.

The two and a half story villa is divided into six axes facing the street . The two middle ones are designed as risalits and open upwards in a curved ornamental gable . On the first floor there is a special accentuation by attaching a triangular bay window . The sixth axis on the east side is designed as a semicircular bay window, which is raised as a corner turret with a bell roof up to the top floor. The villa, which is closed at the top with a hipped roof , is a plastered building with a simple stucco facade and stylized ashlar plaster on the ground floor. The facade is structured horizontally by cornices and arched friezes . The entrance porch on the west side is raised by a few steps due to the mezzanine floor. Inside the building there is stucco ceiling and floor mosaic, the hallway looks like a church aisle with its cross vault . In the rear, park-like garden area, there is also a protective bunker .

The entry of the building at Luisenstraße 28 in the monument list of the city of Herne took place on June 20, 1988 (monument no. A 49; according to another source on July 4, 1988).
