Luka Kaliterna

Luka Kaliterna (born October 13, 1893 in Split , † February 25, 1984 ibid) was a Croatian football coach and player on the position of goalkeeper , who worked in both properties for many years for his home club Hajduk Split .

career

After his older brother Fabjan was one of the four founding members of HNK Hajduk in 1911, his then 18-year-old brother Luka also worked at Hajduk and played a total of 160 games for the club as goalkeeper by 1923.

But his great and unforgettable time followed immediately after his active career when he took over the coaching position at Hajduk , which he held from 1923 to 1937 - with a few interruptions. During this period Kaliterna won the first two championship titles in the history of Hajduk Split in 1927 and 1929 . He later took over the team again from 1948 to 1951 and in 1950 led Hajduk again to win the Yugoslav football championship .
