Luka Marinovic (born September 17, 1983 in Belgrade , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian handball player .

Career

Marinovic began to play handball in his home country at PKB Belgrade . The Serb later switched to city rivals BSK Belgrade . With the 2007/08 season , the right-hander moved to HIT Innsbruck in the Handball League Austria . After three years in Tyrol , the handball goalkeeper was signed by league competitor Union Leoben in 2010/11 . Marinovic ran for Leoben up to and including 2012/13 before he was signed by HC Bruck, who was participating in the Handball Bundesliga Austria at that time. In 2014/15 the team secured the title in the HBA with a 2-0 win in the final series and thus took part in the HLA in 2015/16 . At the end of his three-year contract, the goalkeeper was signed again by Union Leoben. In 2018/19 the right-hander switched back to HC Bruck.

Beach handball

Marinovic runs for the Serbian national beach handball team and has already won a bronze medal with it.

His brother Nikola Marinovic is also a handball player and is currently under contract with GC Amicitia Zurich .
