Lukas Hammerstein

Lukas Hammerstein (born May 4, 1958 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German lawyer and writer .

Career

Lukas Hammerstein completed a study of the law , which he in 1988 with the second state exam completed. He then worked in a law firm and as an appraiser . From 1988 to 1994 he stayed in Vienna .

Since 1993 he has been part of the politics department of Bayerischer Rundfunk and hosts the program Jazz & Politics here every Saturday (5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.).

Lukas Hammerstein is the author of novels , stories , poems , essays and radio features . In 2003 he took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt . He has been a member of the PEN Center Germany since 2017 .

Awards

Lukas Hammerstein received a sponsorship award from the Free State of Bavaria in 1987 and an annual scholarship from the State of Baden-Württemberg in 1990 .
