Lutheran is a district of the city of Lübz in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany).

Geography and traffic

The place is located on a flat plain west of the Müritz-Elde waterway about two kilometers west of Lübz and about twelve kilometers east of Parchim . The Müritz-Elde waterway runs east of the village. Notable lakes and forest areas, as well as outstanding hills, do not exist in the municipality.

The federal road 191 and the Parchim – Neubrandenburg railway run through Lutheran, but they have no breakpoint in the local area.

The Gischow court belongs to Lutheran.

history

Lutheran was first mentioned as Latran in 1324 . It is therefore not possible to derive the name of Martin Luther from the neighboring town of Rome .

On January 1, 1951, the previously independent community of Beckendorf was incorporated.

On May 25, 2014, Lutheran was incorporated into Lübz.
