Lutz Franke (politician)

Lutz Franke (born October 29, 1960 in Halle ) is a German politician of the FDP . From 2006 to 2011 he was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

Life and work

After completing the 10-class schooling, Franke received vocational training with the German State Railroad from 1977 to 1980 with a high school diploma in Halle as a skilled worker for railway construction technology . In 1980 he worked as such in the Halle / S railway maintenance office. From 1980 to 1984 he studied engineering economics with a degree as a university engineering economist. From 1984 to 1989 he was an officer in the GDR border troops . After the fall of the Wall , Franke worked from 1990 to 1992 as an editor for the Bauer publishing group for the Volksstimme daily newspaper . Furthermore, he has been working as a freelance management consultant for German and Russian companies as well as state and semi-state institutions in Saint Petersburg since 1992 . From 1994 to 1996 he studied economics at the Fernuniversität Hagen without completing his degree. Since 1995 Lutz Franke has been a consultant for Eastern European economic policy and economic policy developments in Russia and was an honorary lecturer at the Central German Marketing Academy.

Lutz Franke is married and has four children.

In Saxony-Anhalt, Franke was a member of the state parliament (MdL) from 2006 to 2011 . From 2006 to 2008 he was Parliamentary Managing Director of the FDP parliamentary group . In 2008 he became deputy group leader in the second ballot. Franke is treasurer of the FDP Saxony-Anhalt . He is also the parliamentary group leader of the FDP in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel district assembly and FDP district chairman in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel.
