Lutz Lillig (born July 3, 1962 ) is a German soccer coach and former soccer player .
Career
The striker Lillig began his career at VfR Osterode 08 , with whom he reached the promotion round to the then third-class Oberliga Nord in 1986 . The Osteroder failed in the decider for the third promoted player on penalties at Bremer SV . Lillig missed a penalty after he had previously scored the only goal for his team in regular time. Also in the following year Lillig took part with VfR Osterode in the promotion round to the Oberliga Nord. Despite his four goals in six games, VfR was bottom of the table in their group without a chance in the promotion battle. Then Lillig moved to the second division Arminia Bielefeld , for whom he completed 17 games without scoring in the 2nd Bundesliga. At the end of the season Lillig got down with Arminia and switched to 1. SC Göttingen 05 . With the Göttingen Lillig was in the 1988/89 season behind TSV Havelse runner-up in the Oberliga Nord, but failed in the following round of promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga at MSV Duisburg and Preußen Münster . In 1990 Lillig returned to Osterode.
After his playing career, Lutz Lillig coached VfL Seesen , Goslarer SC 08 , SVG Einbeck and Eintracht Northeim in addition to his hometown club VfR Osterode 08 .
