Lycium deserti is a plant type from the genus of Lycium ( Lycium ) in the family of the nightshade family (Solanaceae).

Lycium deserti is a robust, upright shrub with a height of 1 to 2 m. The leaves are hairy, 3 to 14 mm long and 1 to 2.5 mm wide.
The flowers are hermaphrodite and fourfold. The calyx is bell-shaped and hairless to finely hairy. The calyx tube has a length of 1 to 1.8 mm and is covered with 0.5 to 1 mm long calyx lobes. The crown is tubular and white in color. Your corolla tube is 12 to 16.5 mm long, the corolla lobes reach 1.5 to 1.8 mm. The stamens are finely haired at the base.
The fruits are spherical to egg-shaped berries that are constricted. They are 5 to 7 mm long and 4 to 5 mm wide. They contain two to three seeds per ovary compartment .
Occurrence
The species occurs in the Chilean provinces of Antofagasta and Atacama .
