Lycium elongato-cestroides is a plant type from the genus of Lycium ( Lycium ) in the family of the nightshade family (Solanaceae).

Lycium elongato-cestroides is an upright shrub that reaches heights of 1 to 2.2 m. Its leaves are hairless and 6 to 28 mm long and 2 to 8 mm wide.
The flowers are hermaphroditic and usually five-fold, rarely four-fold. The calyx is tubular and hairless to finely hairy. The calyx tube becomes 2.5 to 3.8 mm long and is covered with 1 to 3 mm long calyx lobes. The crown is funnel-shaped and purple in color. The corolla tube reaches a length of 12 to 14 mm, the corolla lobes are 2 to 3 mm long. The stamens are finely haired at the base on 1 mm of the free-standing area.
The fruit is a red, spherical to egg-shaped berry that is 6 to 9 mm long and 4 to 6 mm wide. It contains one to five seeds per ovary compartment .
Occurrence
The species occurs in the Argentine provinces of Catamarca and Córdoba .
