Lydd Y station
Lydd Y Station was a British military base . It was in the south east of England near the town of Lydd in Kent . During the Second World War , there was an important listening point for the British secret service .

During the Second World War, Lydd was an important radio direction finding station ( Y station ). It was exposed to the extreme southeast on the British main island and was therefore an important base for locating enemy radio stations , especially the German submarines operating in the Atlantic .
