Lydia Wilson

Lydia Wilson (* 1984 in Queens Park , London ) is a British actress . She graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2009 and has since appeared in a number of television series, including Black Mirror, and a number of plays. She won an Olivier Award in 2010 for her role in the play Bombed by Sarah Kane .

Life

Wilson was born in Queen's Park, London, and grew up there to an American mother and an English father. According to her own statement, her ambitions for acting came from her grandparents, both of whom were also stage actors. After taking an undergraduate course at Chelsea College of Art and Design , Wilson studied English at Queens' College, Cambridge . She completed her education at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art .

Career

Wilson made her first film appearance in 2010 in the romantic drama Everything We Had to Give . In 2014, she was included in the list of the 1000 most influential Londoners.
