The Lynk & Co 03 is a compact class sedan from the Chinese automobile brand Lynk & Co , which was developed together with Volvo Cars .
history
At the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2017, the brand presented the near-series model Lynk & Co 03 Sedan Concept . The production model, which was presented at the Chengdu Auto Show in September 2018, differs only slightly from this concept vehicle. The vehicle has been on sale in China since October 2018.
At the beginning of June 2019, a more powerful version of the series was presented with the 03+ . It went on sale in China in August 2019.
technology
Like the Lynk & Co 01 and Lynk & Co 02 sport utility vehicles , the sedan is based on the modular CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform , which the Volvo XC40 also uses. The 03 also takes over other components from this, such as the engines or the safety systems. A new generation of the Volvo S40 will be based on the 03.
Technical specifications
A 1.5-liter gasoline engine with three cylinders and 115 kW (156 hp) or 132 kW (180 hp) was available for the sedan at the market launch . Both drive variants have front-wheel drive and a 7-speed dual clutch transmission . This was followed later by a two-liter gasoline engine in two output variants and a plug-in hybrid with an electric range of 51 km.
