Lynn Gilmartin (born November 3, 1984 in Dublin ) is an Australian - Irish presenter , actress and poker player .

Life

Personal

Gilmartin moved with her family from Dublin to Melbourne, Australia in 1986 . There she later attended La Trobe University and RMIT University . Gilmartin took a marketing course and after graduating secured a job at Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia's largest casino . She has been married to Mexican poker player Ángel Guillén since 2020 .

Activity as a moderator

Gilmartin has been a reporter for PokerNews.com and PokerStar.tv since 2009 and reported on international poker tournaments such as the World Poker Tour (WPT) and European Poker Tour . In January 2012, she was the first TV presenter to cover the Aussie Millions Poker Championship . In April 2013 she worked for the TV channel ESPN Australia at the World Series of Poker Asia Pacific . At the beginning of the WPT's twelfth season, she moved to Fox Sports in the United States in August 2013 and has hosted the World Poker Tour since then . On February 22, 2018, Gilmartin hosted the American Poker Awards in Los Angeles .

Gilmartin has occasionally taken part in renowned live tournaments himself since 2009. She received her highest prize money of almost 6,000 euros at the end of August 2015 for winning the women's event on the European Poker Tour in Barcelona . In July 2017 , Gilmartin first cashed in the World Series of Poker at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and finished 49th in the Ladies Championship for around 2300 US dollars .
