Lyon Farrell (born November 22, 1998 ) is an American snowboarder . He starts in the disciplines halfpipe , slopestyle and big air .

Career

Farrell has been participating in the Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour and FIS competitions since 2012 . He made his debut in the Snowboard World Cup in December 2013 in Copper Mountain , finishing 61st in the halfpipe and 54th in slopestyle. At the 2014 Junior Snowboard World Championships in Chiesa in Valmalenco , he finished fourth in slopestyle and won the silver medal in the halfpipe. The following year he won 40th place in the halfpipe at the Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg . In March 2016, he won the US Revolution Tour in Seven Springs in Slopestyle and took 12th place in Big Air and fourth place in Slopestyle at the Junior World Championships on the Alpe di Siusi . In the 2016/17 season he won the slopestyle competition at the European Cup in Kaunertal and was US champion in slopestyle in April 2017. He also came second in slopestyle at the US Revolution Tour in Waterville Valley and 26th place in slopestyle and seventh place in big air at the 2017 Snowboard World Championships in Sierra Nevada . The following season he triumphed in Slopestyle at the US Revolution Tour in Park City and reached his first podium in the World Cup with third place in Slopestyle on the Alpe di Siusi. He achieved fifth place in the Slopestyle World Cup. In the 2018/19 season he was among the top ten three times, including second place in the Slopestyle on the Alpe di Siusi and thus achieved eighth place in the Freestyle World Cup and third place in the Slopestyle World Cup. He also won the Slopestyle Spring Battle in Flachauwinkl . At the season highlight, the Snowboard World Championships 2019 in Park City , he finished 51st in slopestyle.
