Lyssez ( Ukrainian Лисець ; Russian Лисец Lissez ) is a village in the southern Ukrainian oblast Khmelnytsky with about 920 inhabitants (2015).
The village on the banks of Borbawka ( Борбавка ) is the only village of the same district municipality in the southeast of Dunaivtsi Raion . Lyssez is located in the historical region of Podolia , 20 km southeast of the district center Dunajiwzi and about 85 km south of the Oblast capital Khmelnytskyi .
Personalities
The Ukrainian-Soviet revolutionary, politician and scientist Volodymyr Satonskyj was born in the village in 1888.
