The Märe is a mountain north of the Simmental near the municipality of Oberwil with an altitude of 2090 m above sea level. M. About the summit of the Mare runs the cantonal border of the cantons of Bern (municipalities Guggisberg and Oberwil im Simmental ) and Freiburg (municipality Plaffeien ). The Märe is an inconspicuous mountain, as its neighbors, for example the Gantrisch , Kaiseregg , Ochsen and Stockhorn, are much better known.
