Mélanie Henique (born December 22, 1992 in Amiens ) is a French swimmer .

Life

In 2009 Henique won the 50-meter butterfly swim at the Mediterranean Games . In 2011 she won the bronze medal at the world championships in the 50-meter course in butterfly swimming. At the 2010 European Championships , she won the bronze medal on the 50-meter course in butterfly swimming. At the short course world championships in Doha in 2014 she won the bronze medal in the team on the 4 × 50 meter course in swimming medley . At the European Short Course Championships in 2012, she won the bronze medal on the 50-meter course in butterfly swimming and in the relay on the 4 × 50-meter course in multi-layer swimming and the gold medal on the 4 × 50-meter course in multi-layer swimming in mixed races . In 2016 she took part in the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Henique is a member of the French team Amiens Métropole Natation .

In 2015, her nose was broken in a physical attack in France.
