Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin
Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin (born December 1950 in Clonmel , County Tipperary , † November 7, 2018 in Limerick ) was an Irish pianist and composer .
He has been Professor of Music at the University of Limerick since 1993 , where he founded the Irish World Music Center in 1994 (since 2004: Irish World Academy of Music & Dance ), an academy for Irish folklore in music and dance.
He has performed with Van Morrison and the Irish Chamber Orchestra , among others . He has worked for many years with the Irish percussionist and composer Mel Mercier .
On the album Shape Shifter by guitarist Carlos Santana from 2012 you can find the composition Ah, Sweet Dancer.
