The Mönchsturm (also known as the Storchen- or Hexenturm) in Hammelburg , a small town in the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen , was built between 1242 and 1260. The defense tower is a protected monument .

The semicircular, formerly five-storey tower made of masonry or quarry stone with a bell roof is one of the preserved towers of the Hammelburg city fortifications .
