Plainval is a French municipality with 403 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016: Picardie ). The municipality is part of the Arrondissement Arrondissement Clermont and is part of the canton of Saint-Just-en-Chaussée . The inhabitants are called Plainvallois .

Plainval is part of the Communauté de communes du Plateau Picard .

Plainval is about 28 kilometers east-northeast of Beauvais . Plainval is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Brunvillers-la-Motte in the north, Maignelay-Montigny in the east, Ravenel in the southeast, Le Plessier-sur-Saint-Just in the south, Saint-Just-en-Chaussée in the west and south-west and Quinquempoix in the north-west .
