Avrigny is a French municipality with 373 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Clermont and is part of the Communauté de communes de la Plaine d'Estrées and the canton of Estrées-Saint-Denis .

geography

The municipality is located around 36 kilometers east of Beauvais and 14 kilometers east of Clermont south of Route nationale 31 ( European route 46 ), which is developed as a dual carriageway when coming from the west until just before the municipality. The railway line from Rochy-Condé to Soissons , which is only used for the transport of goods up to here, runs through Avrigny .

history

From 1826 to 1832, the neighboring communities of Blincourt and Choisy-la-Victoire were united with Avrigny. In 1879 the community got a railway connection; passenger traffic was finally stopped in 1954.

Today there is a large warehouse for agricultural products north of the railway line, and the place also has a logistics base for the SNCF .
