Tricot is a French commune with 1,422 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Clermont and the canton of Estrées-Saint-Denis (until 2015: canton of Maignelay-Montigny ). The inhabitants are called Tricotois .
geography
Tricot is about 23 kilometers northwest of Compiègne . Tricot is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Ployron in the north, Le Frestoy-Vaux in the northeast, Courcelles-Epayelles in the east, Méry-la-Bataille in the southeast, Montgérain in the south, Coivrel in the west and Godenvillers in the northwest.
