It belongs to the Arrondissement of Clermont and the canton of Estrées-Saint-Denis (until 2015: canton of Maignelay-Montigny ). Welles-Pérennes is part of the Communauté de communes du Plateau Picard .

Welles-Pérennes is located about 32 kilometers northwest of Compiègne and about 84 kilometers north-northeast of Paris . Welles-Pérennes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Broyes in the north and northwest, Le Cardonnois in the north, Mesnil-Saint-Georges in the northeast, Royaucourt in the east, Ferrières in the southeast, Crèvecœur-le-Petit and Sains-Morainvillers in the south as well as La Hérelle and Plainville to the west and southwest.
