Montgérain is a French municipality with 183 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016 Picardy ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Clermont and the canton of Estrées-Saint-Denis ( Maignelay-Montigny until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Montgérinois .

Montgérain is about 37 kilometers west-northwest of Compiègne . Montgérain is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Tricot in the north, Méry-la-Bataille in the east, Ménévillers in the southeast, Saint-Martin-aux-Bois in the south and west and Coivrel in the northwest.
