Neuilly-sous-Clermont is a French commune with 1,673 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Clermont and is part of the Communauté de communes du Clermontois and the canton of Mouy .

geography

The municipality is located around five kilometers south of Clermont in the west of the former Route nationale 16, which was developed as an expressway . Neighboring municipalities are Clermont, Breuil-le-Vert , Rantigny , Cambronne-lès-Clermont , Ansacq and Agnetz . The hamlets of Auvillers and Lierval and the residential areas of Coutances and La Tuilerie belong to Neuilly.

history

A Templar settlement was first mentioned in 1168. A parish was established in Neuilly in the 13th century. Auvillers has been part of the municipality since 1825.
