La Neuville-Roy belongs to the Communauté de communes du Plateau Picard . The inhabitants are called Neuvillois .

La Neuville-Roy is located about 19 kilometers west-northwest of Compiègne and about 71 kilometers north-northeast of Paris . La Neuville-Roy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montiers in the north, Wacquemolin in the northeast, Moyenneville in the east, Grandvillers-aux-Bois in the east and southeast, Cressonsacq in the south and Pronleroy in the west.
