It belongs to the Arrondissement of Clermont and the canton of Estrées-Saint-Denis ( Maignelay-Montigny until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Dompierrois .

Dompierre is about 40 kilometers northwest of Compiègne on the Trois Doms . Dompierre is surrounded by the neighboring communities Royaucourt in the north, Domfront in the east and northeast, Godenvillers in the south and east and Ferrières in the west and southwest.
