The Mönchteich (also Mönchsteich ) is a lake in the Stormarn district in the German state Schleswig-Holstein, southeast of the village of Lütjensee . It is about 24 hectares and up to 2.9 m deep.

The lake is fed by the Großensee via the Stenzenbek - an artificial passage south of the Schleushörn restaurant . A hiking trail leads around the lake, but not directly along the lake in the north-western part, here is a well system from Hamburg Wasser , which is not publicly accessible. The lake is especially at nudist popular swimming spot vehicle trailers, due to the low depth but found many plants in the water, which may affect bathing.
