The Mörzelspitze is a 1,830 meter high mountain in the Bregenzerwald Mountains , which is located on the municipality border between the two Austrian municipalities of Dornbirn and Mellau in the Bregenz Forest. The summit of the mountain is easily accessible on foot and belongs to the so-called Dornbirner First , a mountain range that can still be easily recognized from Friedrichshafen on a clear day .

The Obermörzelalpe is located on the flatter southeast side of the Mörzelspitze , while the Untersehren and Obersehrenalpe are located on the steep slope of the northwestern part of the mountain .

All of the Alps are easily accessible from the mountain village of Ebnit, which belongs to Dornbirn, and from the Mellental, which belongs to Mellau and is under nature protection. To the north is the Leuenkopf , which can be reached via a striking ridge , and a little further south-east is the highest mountain in the Dornbirn municipality, the Sünser Spitze and the striking Hohe Freschen .

The 6 m × 3.2 m summit cross made of aluminum was created on June 25, 1977 by the Vorarlberger Naturwacht E. Group Dornbirn in teamwork with the Federal Ministry of the Interior .
