history

Mühlbühl is mentioned for the first time in a document as "Milchbiehl" in 1787 in a caste office particular. As can be seen from this entry, Mühlbühl was built by the owner of the Fahrbach manor at the time , after a forest area of around 15 days had become unusable due to a wind break and was made arable. At that time it consisted of 18 houses and had a village judge . While Mühlbühl belonged politically to the Electoral Palatinate of Bavaria , it was subject to the Principality of Bayreuth under feudal law . The border between these two territories ran through the place and there was a toll and customs station there. In 1803 Mühlbühl fell to the Kingdom of Prussia and the border station was dissolved. In 1810 it was finally incorporated into the Kingdom of Bavaria .
