The Mühlenbach rises in Rösberg east of Rösberg Castle at an altitude of 119  m above sea level. NHN in the foothills . Flowing primarily in northerly directions, the brook first flows through Merten before flowing north of Sechtem at 58  m above sea level. NHN flows into the Dickopsbach on the right. An average bed gradient of 11 ‰ is calculated from the height difference of around 61 meters.
