The Mühlengraben is a 400 m long left mill canal of the Wied in Borod in the Westerwaldkreis , Rhineland-Palatinate , Germany .

history

The mill ditch was built for the operation of the Boroder mill. Adam Müller applied for the construction of an oil mill on the Wiedbach in the Borod district in May 1830. The ducal office in Hachenburg approved the mill on June 3, 1830 against the usual requirement of payment of the waterway interest. Due to the strong competition with other oil mills in the Westerwald, a bone pounder was set up in Borod in 1834 and the mill has been called a bone mill since then .
