Mühlenstrasse 14 (Quedlinburg)
House Mühlenstraße 14 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .
It is located south of the Quedlinburger Schloßberg and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . The house borders the Mühlgraben with the south gable . The building is registered in the Quedlinburg monument register.
Architecture and history
The two-storey half - timbered house with a steep roof was built in 1680, during the Baroque period . On its west side facing the street there is a dwelling . The half-timbered facade of the residential building has a profiled threshold , pyramid beam heads and other decorative elements. Side buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries belonged to the property. Century, which stretched along the Mühlgraben.
In 2007 and 2008, the building, which at that time was in great need of renovation, was renovated. After the renovation, the house is designed as a residential house for a family with a living space of 120 m². The extension was so badly damaged that it had to be replaced by a new wooden post construction . A roof terrace was also created, as the property does not have any significant outside area.
