The Mülheim mine-Verein AG (MBV), headquartered in Mülheim an der Ruhr was one of the largest German mining company in the Empire and the Weimar Republic .

The MBV was founded in 1898 by August Thyssen , Joseph Thyssen , Hugo Stinnes , the Mülheim banker Leo Hanau and the AG für Montanindustrie and initially served to merge several less productive collieries into one high-performance mining company.

The mines Wiesche , Hagenbeck , Humboldt , Rosenblumendelle , Neuschölerpad and Hobeisen belonged to the MBV .

In 1927 the MBV formed an interest group with the Mathias Stinnes colliery . 1956 MBV was with the coal mines Mathias Stinnes AG merged .
