The Müllenarker Mühle is a former flour mill near Schophoven , a district of Inden in the Düren district , North Rhine-Westphalia . The mill is right next to Gut Müllenark , a former manor.

The mill is probably built as early as the 10th century. This is indicated by the name of the knight family "von Molenarken", known since 1129. The name of the mill is derived from the family living there. "Molen" means "mill" in today's language and "ark" was a name for a wide channel with protective boards through which the water can be drained from a pond, ie a weir .

The grain mill at that time is mentioned for the first time in the Jülich Rentmeister invoice from 1434/35. The Müllenarker Mühle was the compulsory mill for the villages of Pier and Schophoven in Dingstuhl Pier-Merken until 1798 . At the beginning of the 19th century the mill was also used as an oil and saw mill. In 1836 it had two grinding aisles, two oil presses, a saw and three submerged water wheels. This made it one of the largest mills in the area.

In 1914 the farmer Heinrich Cardaun from Schophoven bought the mill. In 1960 it passed to Katharina Cardaun and her husband Josef Schreyer. The milling process was shut down around 1965. Engelbert Quast from Gürzenich bought the mill in 1978 and restored it in the 17th / 18th. Residential buildings built in the 19th century.

The mill is registered under No. 39 in the list of architectural monuments in Inden (Rhineland) . The entry reads:
