Māris Jučers (born June 18, 1987 in Priekule , Latvian SSR ) is a Latvian ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with HK Liepāja in the Latvian ice hockey league since 2019 .

Career

Māris Jučers began his career as a hockey player at HK Zemgale , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Latvian ice hockey league in the 2003/04 season . The goalkeeper then played for three years for Tyringe SoSS in Division 1 , the third Swedish division. From 2007 to 2011 he was at HK Liepājas Metalurgs between the posts, with whom he won the Latvian championship title in the 2007/08 , 2008/09 and 2010/11 seasons . In 2009 he was also the goalkeeper of the Latvian ice hockey league with the fewest goals against .

For the 2011/12 season Jučers was committed by Dinamo Riga from the Continental Hockey League . There he was second goalkeeper behind the American Chris Holt . Since June 2014 he has been under contract with HK Beibarys Atyrau in the Kazakh ice hockey league.

International

Jučers took part in the 2011 World Cup for Latvia . In the course of the tournament he remained as a substitute goalkeeper without use.
