M. Keith Booker

Marvin Keith Booker (born May 21, 1953 ) is an American English scholar , literary scholar and author of non-fiction .

M. Keith Booker holds degrees in physics , math, and materials and engineering and has worked at Oak Ridge National Laboratory .

In 1990 he received his Ph.D. from the University of Florida. with a work on James Joyce . He later became an associate professor at the University of Arkansas . As "James E. and Ellen Wadley Roper Professor" he heads the program for comparative literature and cultural studies there .

M. Keith Booker wrote over 40 books, his main publications are literature , film and television , especially on the subjects of science fiction , dystopian fiction and postcolonial fiction . He has published scientific articles in the journals Research in African Literatures and Pynchon Notes .
