The M5 (Armenian: Մ 5) is a main road in Armenia . It is an east-west connection through the west of the country from the capital Yerevan via Echmiadzin and Armavir to Bagaran on the border with Turkey . The northern bypass of Echmiadzin is developed as a motorway. This means that the route between Yerevan and Armavir can be used on four lanes.
