The M3 (Armenian: Մ 3) is a main road in Armenia . The road is a south-north connection through the west and north of the country, from Margara on the border with Turkey to Dzoramut on the border with Georgia . The Stepanavan Tunnel, the longest road tunnel in Armenia, is on the road.

history

The 1.3 km long Stepanavan Tunnel was built by the Soviet Union in the early 1970s. It was renovated and modernized in 2000. The tunnel is under the Pushkin Pass.
